Hey there! Well, there are several things to consider here. First, perspective and proportions. The arms aren't following the same perspective as the shoulders or the face. The elbows and hands on the left side aren't aligned either; they're sitting a little too high. On the other hand, the reason the drawing feels flat is because you're not considering the volume of some of the forms enough. For example, the forearm armor part, remember that this surface wraps around the forearm, so it shouldn't be completely flat. The same applies to the shoulder pads; keep the three-dimensional shape of the object in mind. Another aspect is the clothing folds. These should follow the movement and form of the body. If you simply draw lines without having them follow the underlying form, the clothing will look flat. In general, notice how simply indicating the form with a few lines can help give objects a much stronger sense of volume. When you're doing hatching, avoid drawing parallel lines, as that can flatten the form. It's better to use diagonal lines that follow the volume of the form. Hope this helps! :) | Artwod Feedback
