Hi there, I’ve had a look at your other feedback submissions to get a better understanding of where you’re at. Firstly, there’s a lot of things I like with this. I love the detailing you’ve done on the shirt. The flowers and the balls on the stick read very clearly. The rest of the piece is a little confusing as the viewer. I’m assuming this is a POV from the character looking down ant their body and that this character has a tail. I’ll start with an analogy. Making art is a bit like making a cake. When you look at a cake that someone else has already made you’re looking at the icing and the decorations, the details. What you’re not seeing is the actual cake, the structure that holds it all together. Similarly, when you look at other people’s artwork, you’re looking at the finished piece. You’re seeing the details but not the foundations that those details sit on top of. Basically you’re trying to get to the icing as quickly as you can before you’ve baked your cake. You need to learn and practice those foundations. Form and perspective is what will help you with these drawings because you won’t have to guess at what something should look like. My recommendation would be to start with the beginner road here at ArtWOD which you can sign up to for free. There are other free resources you can use online. Let me know if you have any questions, I’m happy to help however I can. | Artwod Feedback
