Hey there! Great job overall! The most important thing is to identify your shadow shapes first. I'm sure that's something you did at the beginning: block the shadow shapes, but it's still worth mentioning. Doing this will help you group your values more effectively and create a clearer distinction between light and shadow. Also, keep in mind that the values within the shadows should never be as bright as the values in the lit areas. I'm referring specifically to the bounce light you've painted underneath the neck, on the cheek, and in a few other areas. Right now, those bounced light values are as bright as the directly lit areas, which makes the lighting feel inconsistent. I don't draw with graphite very often, so I can't really give advanced advice about the technique itself. However, what I would do is build up the shading gradually. Start with a light layer of shading, then slowly darken the areas where the shadows are deeper. This will help unify the shadow values and make the forms feel more solid. I hope this helps! | Artwod Feedback
