This is a great place to start! You have the right idea with one point perspective it just needs a little refinement. When working with perspective you need a vanishing point and a horizon line. The vanishing point is where parallel lines “vanish” to. Meaning, that as parallel lines move away from us they begin to look like they are pointing towards each other to a specific point. A horizon line is the horizon in the environment. Most of the time for things like buildings and cars the vanishing point is on the horizon line. I marked the vanishing point and horizon line I used in red and orange. In your original drawing you didnt have a specific horizon line or vanishing point, so the lines for your buildings ended up a little warped. A great way to have consistency with your buildings edges is to use guid lines, I marked the ones I used in purple, blue, and green. If you want something to try/practice with, try making the same drawing with different vanishing points and horizon lines. :) You’re off to a great start! Keep practicing with basic shapes and once you comfortable with them you can start adding more details to the basic shapes. Also, for a really good explication on how persecutive works watch the video on youtube called “Perspective Drawing in Photoshop! Grids and Tips” by the channel BaM Animation. They work in photoshop but the core ideas can 100% be done in traditional media like pencil and paper. Happy Drawing! | Artwod Feedback
